Naomi Iizuka’s 36 Views is an episodic drama revolving around a somewhat duplicitous art dealer, his associates, and a stunning Japanese masterpiece with tenuous provenance. In this conceptual production, the design carves out the stage and utilizes video to imply location, and to distinguish between formal narrative and historical or stylized flashback scenes. Included with the Photoshopped storyboards are miniplots, a tool used to better articulate lighting ideas.
